61
For the Chief Musician. For a stringed instrument. By David.
Psalms 61.1: 1 Hear my cry, God.
Listen to my prayer.
Psalms 61.2: 2 From the end of the earth, I will call to you when my heart is overwhelmed.
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
Psalms 61.3: 3 For you have been a refuge for me,
a strong tower from the enemy.
Psalms 61.4: 4 I will dwell in your tent forever.
I will take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Selah.
Psalms 61.5: 5 For you, God, have heard my vows.
You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
Psalms 61.6: 6 You will prolong the king’s life.
His years will be for generations.
Psalms 61.7: 7 He shall be enthroned in God’s presence forever.
Appoint your loving kindness and truth, that they may preserve him.
Psalms 61.8: 8 So I will sing praise to your name forever,
that I may fulfill my vows daily.
Luke 18.0:

Luke 18.1: 1 He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up,
Luke 18.2: 2 saying, “There was a judge in a certain city who didn’t fear God, and didn’t respect man. 
Luke 18.3: 3 A widow was in that city, and she often came to him, saying, ‘Defend me from my adversary!’ 
Luke 18.4: 4 He wouldn’t for a while, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God, nor respect man, 
Luke 18.5: 5 yet because this widow bothers me, I will defend her, or else she will wear me out by her continual coming.’”
Luke 18.6: 6 The Lord said, “Listen to what the unrighteous judge says. 
Luke 18.7: 7 Won’t God avenge his chosen ones who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them? 
Luke 18.8: 8 I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
Luke 18.9: 9 He spoke also this parable to certain people who were convinced of their own righteousness, and who despised all others.
Luke 18.10: 10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray; one was a Pharisee, and the other was a tax collector. 
Luke 18.11: 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed to himself like this: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like the rest of men, extortionists, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. 
Luke 18.12: 12 I fast twice a week. I give tithes of all that I get.’ 
Luke 18.13: 13 But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn’t even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ 
Luke 18.14: 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Luke 18.15: 15 They were also bringing their babies to him, that he might touch them. But when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
Luke 18.16: 16 Jesus summoned them, saying, “Allow the little children to come to me, and don’t hinder them, for God’s Kingdom belongs to such as these. 
Luke 18.17: 17 Most certainly, I tell you, whoever doesn’t receive God’s Kingdom like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”
Luke 18.18: 18 A certain ruler asked him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
Luke 18.19: 19 Jesus asked him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good, except one: God. 
Luke 18.20: 20 You know the commandments: ‘Don’t commit adultery,’ ‘Don’t murder,’ ‘Don’t steal,’ ‘Don’t give false testimony,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’”
Luke 18.21: 21 He said, “I have observed all these things from my youth up.”
Luke 18.22: 22 When Jesus heard these things, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have, and distribute it to the poor. Then you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.”
Luke 18.23: 23 But when he heard these things, he became very sad, for he was very rich.
Luke 18.24: 24 Jesus, seeing that he became very sad, said, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter into God’s Kingdom! 
Luke 18.25: 25 For it is easier for a camel to enter in through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter into God’s Kingdom.”
Luke 18.26: 26 Those who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?”
Luke 18.27: 27 But he said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
Luke 18.28: 28 Peter said, “Look, we have left everything and followed you.”
Luke 18.29: 29 He said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children, for God’s Kingdom’s sake, 
Luke 18.30: 30 who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the world to come, eternal life.”
Luke 18.31: 31 He took the twelve aside, and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all the things that are written through the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be completed. 
Luke 18.32: 32 For he will be delivered up to the Gentiles, will be mocked, treated shamefully, and spit on. 
Luke 18.33: 33 They will scourge and kill him. On the third day, he will rise again.”
Luke 18.34: 34 They understood none of these things. This saying was hidden from them, and they didn’t understand the things that were said.
Luke 18.35: 35 As he came near Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the road, begging.
Luke 18.36: 36 Hearing a multitude going by, he asked what this meant.
Luke 18.37: 37 They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.
Luke 18.38: 38 He cried out, “Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!”
Luke 18.39: 39 Those who led the way rebuked him, that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “You son of David, have mercy on me!”
Luke 18.40: 40 Standing still, Jesus commanded him to be brought to him. When he had come near, he asked him,
Luke 18.41: 41 “What do you want me to do?”
He said, “Lord, that I may see again.”
Luke 18.42: 42 Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight. Your faith has healed you.” 
Luke 18.43: 43 Immediately he received his sight and followed him, glorifying God. All the people, when they saw it, praised God.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.0:

Wisdom of Solomon 11.1: 1 She prospered their works in the hand of a holy prophet.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.2: 2 They traveled through a desert without inhabitant,
And in trackless regions they pitched their tents.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.3: 3 They withstood enemies, and repelled foes.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.4: 4 They thirsted, and they called upon you,
And there was given them water out of the flinty rock,
And healing of their thirst out of the hard stone.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.5: 5 For by what things their foes were punished,
By these they in their need were benefited.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.6: 6 When enemies were troubled with clotted blood
instead of a river’s ever-flowing fountain,
Wisdom of Solomon 11.7: 7 to rebuke the decree for the slaying of babies,
you gave them abundant water beyond all hope,
Wisdom of Solomon 11.8: 8 having shown by the thirst which they had suffered
how you punished the adversaries.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.9: 9 For when they were tried, although chastened in mercy,
they learned how the ungodly were tormented, being judged with wrath.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.10: 10 For you tested these as a father admonishing them;
but you searched out those as a stern king condemning them.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.11: 11 Yes and whether they were far off or near,
they were equally distressed;
Wisdom of Solomon 11.12: 12 for a double grief seized them,
and a groaning at the memory of things past.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.13: 13 For when they heard that through their own punishments the others benefited,
they recognized the Lord.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.14: 14 For him who long before was thrown out and exposed they stopped mocking.
In the end of what happened, they marveled,
having thirsted in another manner than the righteous.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.15: 15 But in return for the senseless imaginings of their unrighteousness,
wherein they were led astray to worship irrational reptiles and wretched vermin,
you sent upon them a multitude of irrational creatures for vengeance;
Wisdom of Solomon 11.16: 16 that they might learn that by what things a man sins, by these he is punished.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.17: 17 For your all-powerful hand
that created the world out of formless matter
didn’t lack means to send upon them a multitude of bears, fierce lions,
Wisdom of Solomon 11.18: 18 or newly-created and unknown wild beasts, full of rage,
either breathing out a blast of fiery breath,
or belching out smoke,
or flashing dreadful sparks from their eyes;
Wisdom of Solomon 11.19: 19 which had power not only to consume them by their violence,
but to destroy them even by the terror of their sight.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.20: 20 Yes and without these they might have fallen by a single breath,
being pursued by Justice, and scattered abroad by the breath of your power;
but you arranged all things by measure, number, and weight.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.21: 21 For to be greatly strong is yours at all times.
Who could withstand the might of your arm?
Wisdom of Solomon 11.22: 22 Because the whole world before you is as a grain in a balance,
and as a drop of dew that comes down upon the earth in the morning.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.23: 23 But you have mercy on all men, because you have power to do all things,
and you overlook the sins of men to the end that they may repent.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.24: 24 For you love all things that are,
and abhor none of the things which you made;
For you never would have formed anything if you hated it.
Wisdom of Solomon 11.25: 25 How would anything have endured unless you had willed it?
Or that which was not called by you, how would it have been preserved?
Wisdom of Solomon 11.26: 26 But you spare all things, because they are yours,
O Sovereign Lord, you lover of lives.
